Day 250

first sunburn of the season today....was quite a nice one too.  every year, without fail, i get sunburnt early in the season where i hate to get burnt the most, on the chest!  sunburn = aging....not cool.  why have i not learnt that one needs to put block on from early in spring, particularly down in here in the south island, the sun is viscous.  at least i finally found a good sunblock last season that isn't too greasy or smelly, so i have no reason for excuses.

'current day' shoot at the christchurch art gallery today.  needed a modern looking boardroom, and they had just what i needed...i love being 'connected'.
was going to try and shoot my office scene as well - mainly coz it was such an effort to get made up...but really wasn't appropriate...and hey, that's what it's all about aye, managing everything.
shoot went well...poor boys i'd asked to get dressed up in suits and come in - only needed them for all of 10mins.  I love my shoots, heaps of prep and then over quick smart!
onwards and upwards, one shoot to go.yuss!

I'm really enjoying doing this series.  the body has so many interesting parts, that we often never look at, and the way that light defines the shape of the body is just, awesome.
the clavicle is one of those parts of the body that is looked at a lot, or maybe it's just me.  i love the shape, the concave-ness of it.  i love how in this photo it almost becomes this black hole leading to who knows where.

the boy and i headed out to his grandmother's today to send the arvo snapping.  his grandmother has this awesome property out past rollerston that has a number of different landscapes within it....fields, forest, garden, pond, sheds..the list goes on.
we did one of our co-ops, which can be seen here.  a little bit of a change in post-production to our other images!
did a whole variety of shooting....this didn't quite work out how i wanted it to...seems to be a bit of a reoccurring theme of late :(

speech/presentation day.   oh man, the poor kids....
i managed to blabber on for nearly an hour, but it was not by any stretch of the imagination exciting or interesting...my voice sounded terrible.  oh well, it's done.
tonite we went over to a&a's to show them the wedding photos.  had a few disc drama's - see below....me being anally retentive was not impressed.  oh well serves me right for leaving things to the last minute (really had no excuse with this one).
anyway, we went over to their place and showed them the photos, thankfully they loved them....yay!  job well done team
so although i had a busy day, i kinda forgot, probably coz it was so busy, to take a photo.....so starting earlier than i anticipated i'm starting my 'body' series....
for the next while, if something 'significant' isn't happening on any particular day, i am going to shoot a body part.....some will make sense, some not so much.....i start today with what originally gave me the idea - the inside of my wrist

my goddaughter turns five today...five!!!!  where have the years gone....wherever they have gone, they have gone way too quickly.  i had really wanted to get up to akl for her bday, but i just couldn't afford it in the end...maybe next year when no one else will be making such a fuss :S
